This is my Iris Nebula, NGC 7023. It was taken from the Dark Horse Observatory in Kimberton, PA over several nights between 3 November 2007 to 13 November 2007. It is composed of (43) 5-min Lumin = 215 min total and (14) 5-min red exposures = 70 min and (15) 5 min Green and (15) 5-min Blue exposures = 75 min each for an overall exposure time of 435 minutes. I used The MI-250 mount on a Pier Tech 3 pier. The telescope was a Takahashi BRC-250 with an Optec Pyxis rotator and the Finger Lakes Instrumentation DF2 focuser. The camera was the SBIG ST-10XME with a CFW-10 filter wheel using Astrodon True Balance filters. The images were gathered using CCDWare’s CCDAutopilot, MaximDL, FocusMax, and The Sky6. Processing was done using CCDStack, Mira Pro, and Adobe Photoshop CS3.
